Food would have to be a 4 out of 5, but the service is in the negatives. Whether it be takeaways or dine in, youll be waiting an awfully long time, busy or not. Staff might… look at you as you enter, but will not greet you. This place has great potential, but the service is consistently terrible.
I ordered a soy flat white from here this morning and i was unfortunately unhappy with the coffee I received.. compared to the coffee my sister received to mine, i just expected better! There was no latte art which I dont expect would need to be anything extravagant due to the milk being soy – but that doesnt mean it should look like a bowl of milk.. I really like this place so Im disappointed that this is what I had received when Im paying $5 for a coffee.
Fresh AF. A work Christmas lunch with all the bloody trimmings. We had a decent size group so were running a set menu, and normally when you do so you get servings-lite. Not here. Not at Darling and Co. Turkey and cranberry terrine had the balance, pork belly had the brawn, and the festive ice-cream pudding was proper North Pole Mrs Claus shit. Full flavours, full size, full on. And then we drank all the cocktails.
Cant fault this place! Went for brunch today and it was exceptional. The service was very friendly and helpful. Coffee was amazing and the food outstanding. Its not often you visit a restaurant and have awesome service, coffee, food and even the water (bottle to the table with cucumber and mint). Highly recommended and I will be back
Ooof, bit of a disastrous breakfast here. We had to wait a looooonnnnggg time for food (at least 55 minutes), and when it did arrive a lot of it was cold. One of the brekkies came with mushrooms instead of tomatoes and when it was returned, the tomatoes hadn’t been cooked, just cut up raw on the plate.The staff were all apologetic, apparently there was only one chef in the kitchen, but the food is pretty expensive so you expect it to be really good regardless of any issues in the kitchen – thankfully we were given our drinks for free.Coffee was good though and the waiters were all very friendly and doing the best they could. Hopefully we just caught this place on a bad day.
We just had our wedding at Darling & Co. and it was amazing! The venue was gorgeous, the staff were attentive and super helpful and the food was delicious! We could not have asked for more.. thank you Taylor, Cameron and the team… I would highly recommend Darling & Co. for any function.
My new wife and I recently celebrated our wedding with both the ceremony and cocktail reception at Darling + Co.Wed spent months searching for a venue that could easily cater for 280 guest from a diverse range of backgrounds that also had onsite parking.We honestly couldnt have made a better decision and wished we could celebrate the day all over again. Our wedding was flawless and we could not possibly praise the team at Darling + Co enough for their professionalism and attention to detail.Being based in Melbourne, our many interstate and overseas guest couldnt stop raving about the venue and the exceptional food & wine, the only complaints we heard were of the stretched waistlines, sore feet and heads from eating, dancing and laughing all night. Such a perfect venue to show off the city we grew up in.A special thanks to D+Cs event coordinator Hayley for being so accommodating and helping us customise the event to cater our cultural customs, this really made the difference. We maintained exclusive use of the venue however I could not recommend D+C enough for a function large or small. Thanks!!!
