Had a really lovely time at Mints. We were there during dinner time on Saturday and they were crazy busy but the service was still lovely. We placed our ordered and didnt have to wait long even tho they were flat out. San choy bow was good but not my fav sorry. It was lacking something but still nice. For mains l got the sliced beef pho and loved it. Huge bowl and had great flavour. My husband got the broken rice with pork chop and egg and he liked his meal too. BYO which is a bonus and BWS right next door. Win win win. Over great night and will return to try other things on the menu.
On the trip home after a day of fishing in water Paul Chan and I are chilled. I suggest my favourite hot soup noodle, Combination Beef Pho (Dac Biet). I place our dinner order as we enter Mints. Ten minutes and our steaming hot bowls of Beef Pho ($15) is served with fresh herbs and salad. The broth is very good and the pho noodles are silky smooth. The serve of sliced brisket, sliced raw beef, beef balls and beef tendon is very generous. Special mention for the amazingly tender and tasty sliced brisket, the best I have eaten! Paul loves this Combination Beef Pho and asks for a second bowl! He says it is superb and finishes everything including both bowls of soup! I rate this meal above 4.5! Service is attentive and very friendly, increasing the overall score to 5.0! Well done Mints Vietnamese!
