Awful ! Dry, over cooked and just tasteless. They also got our order wrong
Very ordinary! Were enticed…. Very ordinary! Were enticed by the high rating in this site and were very disappointed. Very overlook crumbed fish (and I actually ordered battered fish!), and the potato scallops were awful.
Absolutely delicious!!!. We ordered some fish and chips from Red Hill Seafood in Enoggera Tce, and the large meal was absolutely fantastic. The fish both grilled and battered were cooked to perfection, scallops, chips and chicken spring roll……..yes chicken spring rolls…..delicious. We’ve tried several fish and chips shops in the inner city area and Red Hill Seafood would have to be one of the best we’ve come across. Yum!!!
Not what it used to be. This place has been around forever. Mum used to order her Xmas Seafood here every year. Not anymore. The old owners of more than 25 years sold up a couple of years ago. It’s been going down hill in a MEGA way since. Gone are the copious amounts of fresh crab, different kinds of prawns and oysters on display. I’ve tried the tired looking sample of oysters they have left on display. They taste WRONG. Fresh fish is not pin-boned as it used to be by previous owners. So look out! The cooked take-away has gone down hill too. Especially the chips – once crisp and tasty, now greasy and yuk. The burgers are still edible but that’s all. I’ve tried and tried to give the new owers a chance. Many times. No more. For takeaway, I now head up the road to Red Ocean Seafood (at the red hill shops). For fresh scallops, oysters, crabs etc, I have to go all the way over to Baroona Rd, Milton and pay high yuppy prices. Not happy. Such a shame as this place is about 40 meters from my house.
Great fish and chips. To date outside of New Zealand of course one of the best fish and chips I’ve been having to date.Maybe it’s the mode i’m in before coming or a mixture of what I’ve drank the night before. But I really enjoyed the fish and chips. I’m a big eater so more often then not I’m not full after eating one main but the portions were generous and with a fair price.Aside from the interesting door(you have to experience it) good price, service and portions.
Worst fish burger I have ever had. Was revolting. Punched in the face by a bit of dry freezer fish that had been laid to rest on a bed of composting lettuce and non-perishable bun. Only a true and gifted talent could craft this sensory experience / emotional assault in the form of a fish burger. Whoever you are, I salute you.
