Ate here on our last night of our holiday – from the 8 nights we stayed there and 8 restaurants we tried, Beach Almond was my fav. Food was nice and well presented plus, their staff are real friendly and fun to talk to. Real good – forgot his name but a waiter from Dubai came around and had a good chat with each table, he was fantastic – worth a talk

To start, the atmosphere is very relaxed and casual.Seafood platter, at a market price of $209 including mud crab it’s expensive. The waiters knowledge wasn’t great but kudos, he tried (the challenges of those working holidays no doubt). The presentation was average. The fish was superb and fresh, as were the prawns . The calamari and mussels weren’t warm but flavour was good. The crab in black pepper sauce was sensational from a flavour perspective. The presentation was average, salad lacking in seasoning and dressing and the rice was plain although if you don’t eat first before realising you should put into the crab sauce then you’d be set. At 209, plus $6 for a small bowl of rice extra we found it expensive(although don’t begrudge spending money for a fab meal we left feeling it was overpriced in comparison to many other platters we’ve had before.Wine list was ok.I’d say 5 stars for the crab, fish and prawns, remainder let it down to 3.5 overall
