Best and favourite restaurant in Palm Cove! Came back second night for more. Love the lasagna, bolognese pasta, tandoori kebab , side dishes and their freshly made gelatos were to die for! Excellent service and portions too 🙂
First eat out night in Palm Cove was Bella Baci and as usual we were walk in diners and lucky enough to get a table for four quite near the front of the restaurant, the table shared the usual garlic bread and a spinach and feta topped bread, not bad but nothing startling, The ladies opted for a couple of traditional Spritz whilst us men folk sipped (quickly) some nice craft beers Mains included Puttanesca ( one with penne the other with spaghetti ) a Beef Ragout and the missus went with the Prawn and Rice Pilaf.Three dinners rated their mains as delicious.the forth thought her rice a touch dryAfter adding a few more cocktails and beers to the equation we opted to skip desert, that said, the bill was still pushing up thereAll in all a pleasant evening with nice surroundings and competent staff
Beautiful food and cocktails looking out on to the beach. Would definitely recommend the chorizo pasta. Will definitely be back again when in Palm Cove
A real mixed bag. We ordered daiquiris which I’m certain contained no, or at least very little alcohol, our complaint was treated as a joke. The pizza was really good, but the pasta dishes we all different sizes (some way too small to be considered a main size, as listed on the menu) and most lacked flavour. Wait staff were disorganised, meals came out at different times, a long wait for some drinks and staff were walking around in circles looking for the right table to take items out to. Would possibly consider take away pizza again. But certainly wouldn’t eat in.
Apalling restaurant! After waiting 50 minutes for our mains, what finally arrived was a huge disappointment! We both ordered risotto, one vegetable and one prawn. What arrived on our plates at best could be termed ‘slop’. The liquid had separated out of the risotto and lay in pools of tasteless liquid. My partner’s vegetable risotto was supposed to have burnt butter…not even a miniscule amount thereof in sight or taste. The chef might as well have used creek water as the stock to make both risottos as both were devoid of flavour or creamy texture. The chef needs to taste his or her food before dispatching it to customers! Surely this is a given as the first rule of cooking?!!! Despite the waitresses being very friendly and apologetic, this is a restaurant which we would definitely not recommend.
I realize that palm cove is a holiday destination and rents are high for food outlets, however this establishment is travesty!! I have now tried it twice and felt obliged to share my experience. Don’t be enticed by the nice looking Italian who comes to chat to you at the outdoor menu board. The young waiter provides good service but that is where your Italian experience will end!! The extortion price for what could only be described as the worst Italian is so poor that it takes disappointment to a new level…..Be warned about the sister restaurant next door Neptunes as it is no better….. Do yourself a favor and walk right past. I would give it zero if possible
Bella Baci is another of my favorite restaurants in Palm Cove. The food is fantastic as well as the service. We always come to this place at least twice when we stay here
