A Taste of Greece Located in Palm cove, Qld and a 30 min drive from Cairns, El Greko serves authentic Greek dishes. The blue and white themed interior and outdoor decor makes you feel like youre in Greece.Ordered: ENTREE: Dips with pita bread- Taramosalata, tzatziki, melinzanosalata and tirokafteri. MAINS: Mixed Grill – Lamb cutlet, chicken souvlaki, traditional sausage chargilled served with roasted vegetables and tzatziki & Seafood Trio – Australian prawns chargrilled, Barramundi and calamari served with Mediterranean salad and house made garlic aioli.This restaurant is worth it if youre looking for something a little fancy. Between the two mains, Id choose the Mixed Meat grill. The lamb had hints of rosemary and was tender. The seafood trio is had a light batter on the calamari and the prawns had the perfect chargrill taste. The dips were fine but the eggplant dip was a little bland. .Would recommend if youre in the Cairns region looking for a taste of Greece. Palm cove is also a relaxing beach area with a nice walking track surrounded by palm trees .
