the hotel as a whole is lovely and the staff too. but had the included buffet breakfast and was a bit disappointed. most of the hot food was cold and it got a bit repetitive after a few days. not much variety and very limited fruit. also tried dinner here. the lamb was cooked nicely. make sure you book for dinner and don’t expect large portions. still i was pleased with the service
Just had buffet breakfast here as it was included with room. Staying at Peppers. Ok for a buffet I suppose. The thing that stood out to me was none of the staff would even acknowledge me. Ever. No good morning, no how are you. Nothing. Zilch. Here for eight nights. I have a hotel management background and this really stood out to me. Very unfriendly and robotic staff just doing their thing. And you really cannot train staff to be friendly; has to be in their nature. HR please note. Youre hiring the wrong people. Would it kill you to smile and say good morning to your guests?????
Visit for a quality value-for-money lunch deal – we didnt need dinner! Only $26 for a huge meal and house beer, wine or sparkling. Great service and friendly staff, overlooking the ocean.
Peppers beach club’s own restaurant – we only ate here during breakfasts and they offered a good range of delicious brekkie options in buffet style. Really good service.
Food was good for the most part, but the buffet was very disorganised and messy. I did not receive any service at all and it was very loud and cramped. The buffet was included but it was just not a good time. Do not recommend. The food receives the points though.
Lime & Pepper is located at Peppers Beach Club, right in the heart of Palm Cove. Having perused each menu of the four restaurants at the resort and concluding that this one sounded the most appetising, I settled in for lunch.I had the whole restaurant to myself on a gorgeous Wednesday afternoon. The waitress was lovely, and approved when I chose gnocchi, so I knew I was in for a treat. This was beautifully presented, with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, walnuts and parmesan. Fantastic mix of flavours and textures. With picturesque beach views, great food and attentive service, Lime & Pepper is well worth a visit.
Our experience at Lime & Pepper was absolutely superb! From the moment we arrived right up until we left, we experienced nothing but consistency and professionalism from the staff, as well as delicious food that was totally on point. We chose 4 items from the ‘Tastes’ menu to begin with, with a view to order mains once we’d finished, depending on how hungry we still were. Our selections were the ‘Vietnamese rice paper rolls with vegetables and pickled ginger’, ‘Crab, mussel and vegetable spring rolls with wasabi mayo’, ‘Salt and pepper squid with tomato aioli’ and a fourth dish which was ravioli stuffed with Mexican-style black beans (the name escapes me I’m afraid). All were sumptuous and flavoursome, with larger than expected serving sizes – we were very impressed! After our starters, rather than ordering mains we chose instead to go straight to dessert, as we were already getting full! I chose the Panna Cotta, my partner the Chocolate Mousse. Both were delish! Although on this occasion I chose to put my phone away and resist taking photos of each dish (which was really tough to do, considering how beautifully presented they all were) for the most part, I couldn’t hold back the urge to take a quick snap of dessert – check out the artistry below.Overall, a terrific experience – the chef ever popped out to check on the guests and ensure everyone was enjoying their meals, which was a classy touch. Highly recommended for sure!
