We’ve been to Palm Cove ten times in the past 15 years and having a brood of kids we usually visit the Tavern. It’s been a couple of years and boy have things gone downhill. Queued up for 15 minutes to order (with only 2 people in front of us), the meals came out in random order over a period of an hour. They offered for the kids meals to come out earlier and they came out last. Everything was really average. The salad was drenched in dressing, mistakes with meals, delays, you name it. They’ve lost the plot. I’ll be doing the Surf Club for kid friendly dinners from now on. Disappointed.
What you would expect from a gaming and TAB venue. Went to watch afl footy. Passable Parma and salt and pepper squid. Will return for the footy.
Ordered the snapper, unfortunately don’t know what type of fish it was but definitely not snapper. More like a tyre retread. When asked by the waitress how our meal was, and was told ordinary. She responded with I don’t know anything about fish. Cannot recommend to anyone.
Horrible meal! Waited an hour for a few medium rare rumps, cold chips and steam veg. Gravy was tasteless. Caesar salad had no boiled egg and too was lacking any flavour. Don’t eat here.
Food at Palm cove tavern is horrible. Absolutely the worst meals I’ve had in my entire life, as we went there on two occasions during our stay at palm cove. On the first visit every meal at our table of eight was cold and one seafood dish smelt very very off. My steak was burnt and so tough I couldn’t cut it with a steak knife also the bread Ewan’s stale and service nonexistentWe were offered a return meal and stupidly I accepted . I didn’t think it could have got worse, we waited an hour for entrees and hour and half for mains . And yes my fish was cold and the salad looked like it was taken off a previous customers plate. So don’t go there I give them 0 out of ten
Perhaps my review is unfair as I didn’t actually eat there. We walked in and it smelt like a toilet so we left! Disgusting given that Palm Cove is such a terrific holiday destination
