I would like to say how disappointed locals are getting with this bakery. Continually get frustrated that there is never any bread ready first thing in morning, ( 6.30-7). Staff very unfriendly . When bread is ready, it is only ever the gourmet stuff first, What happened to going to bakery early, picking up fresh bread for school lunches, or toast! I have now given up, and go else where, as they are too overpriced, too unreliable, and not friendly. All we want as locals, is same as everywhere else, good friendly service, good prices, as we are all fed up with, catering for outsiders first, Give us some local business to SUPPORT, I for one will not go back, Hoping anther bakery sees this and listens
All I have to say about this bakery is you will not be able to walk past without indulging! The lamingtons (yes I know they are standard Aussie fare) but these are just amazing pieces of tantalizing heaven in a square!! They don’t have that dessicated coconut on them, but the strands of coconut & they are light & melt in the mouth delicious. Then there are the strawberry flans & all those tiny delicate fancies which you would not expect in a normal bakery. This bakery has a definate French influence with Aussie tradition thrown in (love it) Oh they do coffee too- but I was coffeed off that day!!
