Favourite restaurant in Cairns! My boyfriend (who happens to be the son of a Balinese chef) and I came twice to this place on our 4 day trip to Cairns. We were able to order a wide range of the dishes and loved every single bit of them. The sides and accompaniments were great additions, which come with the dishes. I reccommend the fish satays! Service was excellent. Felt like I was back in luxurious Bali!
Lovely decor, great service they were very attentive experianced proper wait staff. We took on their banquet. Something to satisfy everyone. Lamb chicken beef pork duck seafood.A combo of skewers parcels and curry dishes.served with jasmine rice. Then the 4 deserts and fresh fruit.Well worth a visit and priced about right. Entirely meat oriented.
This place was fantastic. To start had the crocodile satay sticks .Sweet corn fritters with papaya salad Balinese chicken curry and gado gado. The food was magnificent great for those who love spicy/hot .To drink had Mai Tai,.and Mojito which was- so strong . The banquet is probably the way to go unless you are allergic to seafood or tolerant to certain foods . All displayed so you can decide easily whether to go for it or not. The menu is well written it includes (s) for seafood which indicates the dish has seafood this is great as this may not be obvious as seafood is used in some sauces. The restaurant has that Balinese feel to it decorated in Balinese style. The staff fantastic very helpful . The chef accommodates and will restructure something on the menu if you have special needs if he can . Unable to eat all too filling. So took the rest to the accommodation. This was something quite a few people were doing as you can over order .
Great food and setting. Would recommend the sate & duck curry. The soto Ayam didn’t quite hit the mark but was still nice. We also had the seafood yellow curry which had lots of fish fillets in it. They have a kids menu which is advertised on their website.
Food 2: superb! This place serves mouthwatering Balinese food! A must if you visit cairns Decor 1: nice, Asian feel Service 0.5: poor, the skinny Asian older lady was quite rude to us … we waited a long time… I was hungry and I could eat her
I’ve never had Balinese food before and this was recommended to me by heaps of friends who have been to Cairns. For starters, the ambience is very vibrant and filled with Asian decor. The staff were very helpful and explained the Balinese custom and cuisine. My friends and I started with satay and then we proceeded to have mains of seafood and chicken curry. Very fragrant and delicious! We were too stuffed to have any dessert but will definitely make room for it the next time we’re there.
Fresh food with an authentic Balinese touch. Warm and attentive waitstaff, and a lovely atmosphere. A favourite destination after three days at sea.
