So this Given Terrace Queenslander is now home to a pastry cafe by day & Thai eatery by night. We recently dropped in for a midweek dinner. Like the space, the tunes, the service & the menu but the muted flavours only hint at the full potential. Like shouting into the Grand Canyon & not getting an echo. If the dishes were punched up a notch to fully reflect the salty, sweet, sour & spicy experience, we’d put this in our regular local rotation.Will run it to ground & try the all-day pastry & brunch options soon because word in the hood is that’s where they excel. Lemon meringue croissant anyone? Stay tuned.
The more you eat out, the more you feel enjoyed! I’m so proud that Thai owner can make such a perfect pastry! If you’re really into it, you can’t go wrong with their pastry. The selected one I highly recommend is the chocolate croissant, which has a smooth chocolate sauce inside. Thanks for sweetening up my life this morning. Can’t wait to go back again!

Somewhat belated post, but last year, I attended a foodie gathering at the very popular Paddington Social along Given Terrace. During the daytime, the venue houses a bakery and cafe which sells out quite often and at night it transforms into a Thai pop up, which is what we had that night. The restaurant was fairly large, and we booked out several long tables at the back.
