I was less than impressed with the fish n chips I ordered. It was like the fish fillets came straight out of a frozen box and into the fryer. Tasted so bland. The calamari entree was extremely disappointing. $15 for 6 little pieces of calamari. Not even worth it and again, tasteless and more like out of a box. Wont be coming back here for food thats for sure. Back to Greenbank RSL it is for us.
We love the $9.90 lunch specials here. However we came for dinner on Thursday night. We had a table of eight and five of us ordered steaks and three were over cooked. I ordered medium rare and it came out medium well. Service was fine and accommodating to our large table. There was several large tables all sandwiched together though which made it very loud. I will be back for the lunch but probably not dinner, Id expect better for a steak of that price.
Friendly helpful and inviting staff members . The food has some amazing qualities but unfortunately i built it up in my mind. Still a great venue for functions and events
Give these guys a medal for the worst food and service award. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!Arrived at 6pm with my partner and our baby and told we had to seat ourselves outside. Went to order our food and were told they weren’t taking orders for tables outside for another 90 minutes and if we wanted food we had to order from the cafe!! There were two tables outside already eating food from the main menu. We were about to leave but the lady at the front found us a table inside straight away and we sat down and waited to order our meal. Over an hour later our meals arrived but our entree hadn’t even come out yet. Refused calamari entree during our main course as it looked soggy and awful anyway. Steak was undercooked with barely a drop of sauce, salad was old and disgusting and the chips were gross and oily. Chicken breast was tiny, overcooked and the potatoes weren’t cooked how they were described on the menu (fried in mustard – more like boiled) Sauce wasn’t that nice either. Staff in the restaurant were not very helpful and quite rude too! If it wasn’t for the lovely ladies at the front desk we would have left and not wasted 2 hours of our time and kept our baby out that late! The worst meal and experience we have EVER had!!!!Great venue aesthetically but that’s about it.
Ive been a member for 8 years and last night’s dinner service was very disappointing. We made a booking for 7pm and we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food to arrive. Food was substandard. Then we waited another 10 minutes to pay the bill and we asked for it twice. I would give less stars if I could. Returning my membership card. Don’t waste your time here.
Been here on and off for years but food pretty much hasn’t changed. Was here last night Wednesday saw in the kitchen and thought finally Lions new head chef is female and this kitchen might get a new start and be good. After ordering and talking to staff to find out the new head chef is not even Australian (really Lions start hiring Australians in the kitchen) to hire a suppose 5 star chef to come and work in Inala that pretty much explains the SOU VIDE steak and pork chops. If you are going to cook meat than cook it from start sou videing is for our suppose 5 star chefs who can’t really cook. Restaurant is beautiful but food is still bad.
Forget everything you think you know if you have been to this club before…. this club hasn’t had a makeover it’s literally hat a total rebuild. Nothing is the same, nothing. At time of writing the outside landscaping still has lots of work to be done and resembles a building site but once you step inside everything is nice, really nice. This place now resembles a modern 5 star hotel rather than a sports club, it’s a class above any other sports club and sets a new standard. Today we had lunch at the restaurant. Just how do they do full table service with a a great menu and do it for $8.90? The service is great, the food is up to realistic expectations and the atmosphere is excellent. You can’t even get fast food for that price! You also have your regulation gaming room, huge, cafe with sumptuous seating, and a brand new sports bar. This bar has a massive screen to watch the big games on and is huge., it’s 13m wide. Here I actually have a concern, I think once the word gets out on how good this bar is I think it may need to be triple the size. I think it could do with a big clear floor area to allow crowds stand and cheer the big games, could be a bit crowded I’m thinking. Saying that it’s a high class bar that may be just a bit too nice for the Friday arvo tradies, time will tell. Highly recommended a visit.
