Not happy with the food. It’s nothing close to the proper Japanese food. The rice is terrible (dry and hard). P.S. it’s not run by Japanese.
Casual, and not the most sophisticated Teppanyaki you’ll ever come across, but appreciate it for what it is. It does well in the busy Robina Promenade, and the interior is quite cool.Highly recommending taking advantage of the lunch special, whereby a plate of Hot & Spicy or Teriyaki Chicken ($11.95 each) comes with free steamed rice, veggies, miso soup and salad. Veggies were a little undercooked the latest time we went, but I could never complain at this price point. Lovely staff aswell.
Rude staff members. Cheap lunch specials but not worth the price if you think about it (small portions). Its a Jap restaurant but no one speaks Japanese there/no Jap staff. The waitresses that serve are 90 % international students. I used to love Kamikaze but they have gone from fab to nill
FOOD = 4.0AMBIENCE = 4.0CONSISTENCY =4.0SERVICE = 3.5Great food and one of my regulat teppanyaki spots on the coast. Always a great place to visit. The combos of soup, salad and a main dish is best value, especially during lunch times. Would recommend this place anytime.
The restaurant is clean and modern offering 3 seating options of traditional Japanese, around the BBQ Teppanyaki and the more Australian Alfresco. The menu is large enough to offer choice and good value. The quality of the food keeps this place busy. One thing to note is that the hot side tends to struggle when the place is full
