Teppanyaki is not only delicious, it is also very entertaining with all the tricks happening on the grill in front of you. I really like how you get such a variety of food with your dinner when you dine at teppanyaki restaurants. I also like the constant flow of food arriving in front of you as it cooks on the grill. Yet another great meal at the Kitchens in Robina Town Center. A teppanyaki restaurant is a great way to watch your food being cooked while being entertained by the cook.
We dined her for my birthday and decided to try the lunch special which included a soup and salad. We ordered the Yaki Udon with prawn and chicken and the tepanyaki Angus with rice. The tepanyaki steak was tasty and meat was tender. Unfortunately the noodles were average and tasted “boiled” with the sauce stirred through. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and would probably return.
Service was very very slow. I waited 35 min for chicken teppanyaki set on my own. I nearly walked out as I arrived when there were just 4 groups dining. The food was fresh, tasty and enjoyable.
Disappointed that I had to wait over 45 minutes for a drink or food. It was lunchtime and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Found staff to be rather rude on this occasion. Food was alright but found some meat in a vegetarian dish which isn’t cool.
Let’s start with the positives- lovely decor and funky vibe, lunch special offers good value for money, prompt service, everything seemed fresh and was cooked in front of us. Meat eating friend was impressed with meat quality. The not so good- vegetarian meals cooked with meat / seafood and handled with the same utensils. Waitress spilt sauce on me (she didn’t even notice) and cleared plates away when we weren’t finished. Fish based miso served in the ‘herbivore’ option and the side salad was very unappetising.I’d definitely recommend it for meat eaters, but I wasn’t impressed.
