Used to like this place. Been here many times. Today ordered battered fish and specified non- beer battered chips. They gave me beer battered fish and would not replace it even though nowhere on menu does it say that all their batter must be beer batter. Wanted me to pay for another fish. Not fair. Not happy.
A local favorite. Great seasoning on chips, fish tastes good. We usually order the seafood platter to share in a group. Batter is nice, crunchy and light.All the tables outside were taken by people from our church. We love it.Look out for the lunch specials. Busy in weekend mornings too for breakfast.Space for prams… It’s all outdoor seating. Mall bathrooms has change table in disabled toilet. instagram.com
A great surprise find during a quick pit stop before heading off to Toowoomba. Having a quick look around whilst a colleague went off to the doctors clinic, I came across KMF and ordered a quick bite and boy did it pack some flavour! Chip seasoning was on point and could be comparable to Schnitz chips it was that good.I ordered the Fish and Chips $6.9 which was a kids meal but it sure didn’t look it as it was quite a large serving, especially for a child and especially for the price but hey I wasn’t complaining! Wishing I got the fish grilled though instead of it being battered, bit that it wasn’t nice, it just would’ve been healthier! Ha! I was served by a young girl probably in her mid to late teens whom was helpful.and new her stuff.Whenever I’m in Brisbane again, I’ll definitely be swinging past for another quick bite and may even try one of their other seafood meals like the Wild Barramundi Meal $19.9. I bought 2 fish burgers. NONE OF THE FISH WAS COOKED INSIDE!!! I got home and rang the manager up and she told me that the chef broke the fish in half and said it was cooked. The fish was right in front of me and it was 100% NOT COOKED!!! I put it in my mouth and had to spit it out. BAD FOOD!! NO RESPECT!!! SO ANGRY!!!
Don’t know what happened, new management? staff changes? but food is not as good and fresh as it used to be. Wait staff members don’t have the best personalities either.
Good for the area but average for Brisbane. Placed a takeaway order. The food was ready when they said it would be and was still warm when we got it home. The whiting was quite nice apart from a bone in one of the fillets. Chips were average. I wish I had gotten the fish grilled and not crumbed as it did feel a bit oily for me but that was my choice. If getting takeaway and craving fish and chips I would return.
Great food but a little pricey. Fish (cod) was excellent and fresh and the large serve of chips was enormous. They need a chip size in between the small and large size though for smaller families. We also had a burger which was pretty good but for the price you can get better burgers elsewhere. It’s more of a cafe style than a traditional chippie.
