Good food – great service – decor a little boring and the room was very noisy even though the ceiling was tiled – Great cafe overall and very welcoming.
It’d be nigh on impossible to beat the food, coffee and warm welcome you receive at this cafe. From oddities like a white chocolate mocha to your regular flat white, coffee is well made and served piping hot (my personal preference). Breakfast dishes ranging from fluffy hotcakes to corn fritters are well executed, with standout produce (look at the rocket!!!). Smoked bacon is a highlight. If you have a big appetite, the big breakfast is a winner, particularly the beef components – steak and sausage – unsurprising, after all this is ‘cattle country’. Staff are another reason to visit – we felt like part of the family on our first visit, which ensured we returned every morning of our trip. Our work colleagues experimented more widely, and regretted it. Even the muffins are excellent – who knew banana, white chocolate & cranberry would be great?! Thank you for making mornings in Rockhampton an absolute pleasure!
