  So here we are in the beef capital of Australia and there is no shortage of steak places but my mate and I decided to dine here on a Thursday night. Service was exceptional and the waiters were friendly and attentive.Decided on the Scotch fillet steak medium rare with pepper sauce whilst my mate had ordered the beef rump medium with gravy. It wasn’t long enough before we received our meals and whilst the food was presented well, we both agreed that it didn’t deliver on flavour. Especially at that price range for the meal. The let downs were mainly the sauces, flavour was bland, runny and not even warm.So an overall hit and miss!..

  Quality food with great service. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I’ve been to other R&Rs and this one is just as good. The steak was cooked perfectly and the service was quick.

  Amazing place!! Had the fish platter and it was so fresh. Got heaps of prawns, calamari and a great piece of baramundi. Was all so fresh and tasted amazing. They were very willing to change the order to suit me as I wanted a side of steamed vegetables instead of chips and were very happy to do so.

  I’ve always loved Ribs and Rumps in other locations. However my visit to this Ribs and Rumps location was met with much disappointment. Firstly I’d like to say I am pretty tolerable. For entree I ordered 1/4 Chicken Ribs, which were very dry, almost inedible. I gave my feedback to one of the waitresses who took them away and came back to say that is how they are supposed to be and asked if I wanted more or cancelled. I requested for them to be cancelled, however more were brought out, so I thought I may as well give them ago, they weren’t much better.For main I ordered the 500g PREMIUM Pork Ribs. We weren’t given a proper knife or the signature bib and moist towel and I had to request this. The ribs took some time to come out, which is understandable due to how busy it is. But imagine my disappointment when I went to dig in and the ribs were stone cold. I let one of the waitresses know and she took them away, some time later they came back barely lukewarm. At this point I was starving and just ate them, further the “Creamy” Mashed Potato is far from creamy. On paying I requested to speak to the manager, who came out all aggressive and down right rude! Saying I was a liar and I was only trying to get a discount because they didn’t except a voucher that I had, which is a joke! I said that I don’t believe I should have to pay full price, he started yelling at me saying I can’t just come in there and not pay, I tried to explain that was not what I meant, he just got more angry. He did reluctantly give us 25% off the bill. Honestly I am more upset by the managers actions than anything else that occurred tonight. I do not recommend dining at Ribs and Rumps Rockhampton.
