A place famous for its ‘award winning’ yet, lets face it, award winningly average coffee amongst Zomato users, I really rather not be here for coffee but we were left in one of those ‘led by a friend’ situations and sometimes you just ‘go with the flow.’Needless to say, the Mocha (*.5) had no sweetness, no chocolate feeling – let alone sensation – whatsoever, and was an embarrassment for such a big chain. The Vanilla Latte (***) was ok, swishing with the usual predictable taste we are accustomed to and was, temperature wise, ‘a warm one’. Rocky was super hot, and I didn’t ask for extra hot, so I can’t complain there. Not over sweet to their credit, either. The brekkie, however, certainly didn’t fall short of the mark. The Brekkie bagel (****), weighing in at just under $12, was loaded with bacon, egg, spinach and tomato relish and was tasty. The bacon, egg, tomatoes and toast (****) was a bit pricier, over $15, but allowed for scrambled eggs, of which there were plenty, tonnes of bacon, tomato, two toast and some extra ordered mushrooms, which were done nicely. Service was quick, but a bit like the Giddy Goat in Rocky, staff appear friendly but seem to be feeling the pressure from busy service and fire out a lot of frustration under their breath. Its a hard industry and its always worth offering a bit of friendliness and thanks where deserved. *Photos to come later, lots of them.

Visited here on a Saturday morning, while they were a bit busy, the service was ridiculously slow and rude. We waited close to an hour for food and the service staff were not friendly at all. Usually the coffee club chain is great but won’t be returning to this particular store.
