Topokki 88 is our absolute go-to for a last minute catch up or cbf cooking night. They manage to produce very consistently rich and flavorful Korean Hot pot which has had us going back for a number of years now. The hot pots come in servings of 2 or 3 but will easily feed 3 or 4 respectively. They come out in large pots and cook on a gas stove on your table for everyone to share. A must mention is their KFC or Korean fried chicken.. big call but I would say its my favorite KFC in Brisbane. The original flavor with the honey mustard that they serve it with is so soo good its almost bad. The other 2 flavors are good too. Now to a couple of side notes. When you are seated, you will be given a small serving of banchan (Korean side dishes). Eat these promptly and ask for more! As with any decent Korean haunt, banchan is free and unlimited so dont hesitate to stick your hand up in the air and wait for a waitress to come and give you another serving. Be advised that like most venues in Sunnybank, the staff can be few and far between. At times you will have to go get that beer and soju out of the fridge yourself. Lastly, its byo with a small corkage if you want to bring a cheeky vino which is alright with me! Dont forget to ask for a container when you have left overs. Highly recommend but dont all come at once!

It was my first time here and I am so much disappointed about the food and services. As the name of the restaurant is 88Topokki so I absolutely had very high expectation with their toppokki. However, the food was trash as the rice cake was dried and not even good. Id never come back here again, and Id never recommend this place to everyone.
