Food was a bit under average. I couldn’t taste any flavor but salty and oily. The two dishes we ordered tasted/looked the same but they had different names. Service was limited and the server couldn’t or was not willing to speak English while my daughter couldn’t speak proper mandarin. The tables were greasy and the containers of utensils were not stained and not clean enough.

Despite the negative reviews, thought everyone deserved a chance. Unfortunately it didn’t apply to this place where the handmade dumplings in spicy soup were almost inedible! The dumplings was very thick with little fillings, and the soup was way to sour (vinegar?) and oily. Frozen dumplings found in any Asian groceries were much better! For the service, though I didn’t expect much in Chinese restaurants, this place was terrible.

We were the first to come in and ordered firstly. The cashier did not give us a receipt (did not even ask if we need a receipt), and gave us wrong change. After a long waiting, other guests who came in later and ordered something that takes longer time to cook even got their dish but we were still waiting…and the staff could not explain himself at all. Too disappointed.

Bear asked me if the noodles are really hand-made kind? i would say yes.but the soup base is not really my kind…i love concentrated ones…but this one (we ordered a braised brisket noodle) is toooo salty..guess too much MSG.

Since the strategy of management has been changed in Pinelands Shopping Centre, there are more and more food outlets being recruited. I have tried this noodle bar because of its advertisement of hand-made noodles. Well, I do not think the noodles are extra-ordinary good, particularly, the soup-base is so so. However , the Rou Jia Mo is so impressive, the Bao is so hard and minced meat is not tasteful. I advise that they should focus on noodle dishes but pay attention to the soup base.

Look, it was hard to decide whether I liked it or not. Taste buds tells me this place is very average as a restuarant and should be better keeping the cooking skills at home. The Kung Food Noodle was super salty and was also lacking depth, beef was rubbery and veges were horrible. However, the noodles were hand made with village tradition which was worth the acknowledgement. The Lamb Broth my wife had was one of the best traditional broths she’d ever tasted. Very complex and requires the background knowledge of chinese food from different areas of China to understand the techniques behind their dishes. Honestly not the general public’s tastes, but guarantee authentic and traditional. I rate this place 5/10 and may return to try their other dishes.
