Mr 7 is located in Gowan village where Crazy Wings used to operate. They provide mainly grilled skewers type of food. When I entered the restaurant on one of weekdays, place was already half full and could feel welcoming atmosphere.Interior was interesting with unique painting, table and chairs.Ordered lamb skewers, beef skewer, prawn skewer, honey and original chicken wings and ‘sad spicy sour’ noodle. While I was waiting I am not sure what they were saying but I could hear chef was yelling at waitress really loud which was awkward and uncomfortable. Lamb was seasoned well with cumin, chilli salt and bit of sweetness. It was rather small but considering one skewer is $1.80 i guess it is reasonable. Original chicken wings were ok. honey chicken wings had nice marinate and enjoyed it a lot. Prawn was overcooked and not fresh.Sad spicy sour noodle was as name suggests, i was literally crying from its spiciness I couldn’t take it after few bites but my partner who loves spicy food finished it with a smile.
Have not been back for over 10 months and re-visited last night. It was a shock when I saw all the new faces there that told me this eatery has been under management. Therefore, I started to worry about if the production would be as good as before. Well, the result proved that the taste of the food kept consistent and there are more options on the menu. Prices are fair and service is attentive. Happy with this re-visit and definitely will come back soon. Cheer!10 months ago Rating 4/5Booked this restaurant after I read Shortys review. Had the Nee Year Eve dinner last night and it was surprisingly good. Lay out with home-feel but contemporary idea of comics on the wall that highlights its character. Menu offers similar food like the previous management – the Crazy Wing but the service was a lot better. Ordered the lamb skewers, which came in the options of small or large. Tried both of them and we loved the large one more and even added extra orders at the end. Chicken skins was crispy and the grilled mushroom and pepper chilli were delicious. Honey and pepper salt chicken wings were average; however the Wonton was the hero of the night. Broth was perfectly prepared with generous numbers of Wonton, which came with smooth pastry. Overall, it was a decent dining experience. Thanks for your recommendation, Shorty.
