4.10.2018My last visit was in October 16 when my beef ribs, chicken satay and Cendol drink were three consecutive fails. My disappointment has waned and it is time to give Shalom Indonesian an opportunity at redemption. Walking in at 12.40pm today, I see a refreshed clean restaurant. The waitress provides me with a new attractive menu showing photographs of every meal and dessert. My hopes are raised as I place my lunch order. Service has vastly improved and my Sop Buntut (Ox Tail Soup) and Rice ($14) is served within 20 minutes. A quick taste and I am blown away by the spices and intensity of this concentrated beef soup. My elation is tempered when I see several tiny pieces of Ox Tail which I finish in 2 minutes. I love the beef soup and if I didnt take price into account this meal would be rated a perfect 5.
