I love this place. From the interior design, to the coffee & tea, to the beautiful desserts. Well done Team Sonder.This was my first time trying the Hojicha Latte. It was just what i needed to warm me up from this afternoon chill.
Aesthetic Japanese dessert place that has gained great following for its pretty desserts. Its not that expensive but it can really be great for your instagram if thats your thing. However, somethings are a more acquired taste than others… I just couldnt eat the green tea udon. There wasnt any part I liked though it is an interesting concept. However, I couldnt fault any other dishes. The mini icecreams are very cute and colourful and the cake is delicious. I have plans to try everything on the menu here
Yummy desserts, delicious drinks, great little buzz, perfect place for a first date 😉 I recommend the matcha here, I really like the flavor of the powder they use. There is definitely a lot of love and care that has gone into this menu but as with all desserts, its all about the execution. Unfortunately on this occasion we were left slightly short of a 5/5 experience. The presentation of 3/5 of our dishes seemed rushed. A little bit more care would have gone along way. Most likely caught them on a service far from their best.
Our favourite Dessert Cafe on the Southside! We come here after lunch on Tuesday and the cafe is empty. Great! We place our order and take a seat. Within 5 minutes a dozen patrons walk in.Matcha Crme Brle ($14) looks nice with a thick layer of caramelised sugar and comes with a mini matcha ice cream waffle basket. Beneath this crisp sugar is a smooth and fragrant matcha custard. Delicious!Cafe Latte is hot, strong and full flavoured. A very good coffee that is almost perfect. Visited Sonder this afternoon to try one of their desserts. I was very impressed with the selection available and had a difficult time deciding on what I would have. In the end I decided on having the Matcha and Mango Cheesecake which looked amazing and tasted great. Service was rather quick staff were friendly. Sonder is a nice little place and I hope to visit again sometime.
Amazing desserts and all around great vibes. I had the Matcha Mango Cheesecake. It was absolutely sensational. (Best thing was, it wasnt sickeningly sweet) The location of the store is a little awkward and is a little hidden. The owner/chefs are amazingly skilled and I have no doubt that we will see many more outlets open soon
I would give this cafe 3 stars. I actually had a high expectation since the rating of the cafe is so high. I went here this afternoon and the place wasnt that crowded. I wasnt sure but the staffs seemed so busy although there were not many customers (even many empty seats were still available). I tried the sweet sakura tea as recomended by one of the staff. I liked the tea since it tasted light but in other ways, flavoursome. I also had hojicha ice cream which tasted too sweet for me thats why I only gave them 3 stars.
