It was back to the end of March that we explored this newly opened hot pot eatery. Honestly, there are really overwhelming supply of this type of trading style in southside of Brisbane. If there is outstanding standard, it may be a good news and choice for the locals. However, the outcome turned up to the negative side of the coin. First comment is that there are the only Chinese words (not writing clearly) on the signage board (May be the owners do not like to do business with English-speaking market in Brisbane) and no proper indication of its English name. It will definitely narrow the range of clientele. The next comment is that there are only limited selections of skewers as compared to its competitors and we hate to have just a tiny little meat on each skewer that impeded my mood on selection. Last comment is that they did not ask how the level of spiciness of the soup base, which really burnt my tongue.  Overall, service was non experience and price is not competitive at all. Rating 2.5/5
Another date night, another hot pot. It doesn’t matter that the temperatures hit mid 30s, my love for hot pot will never cease. This time we decided to try out Spicy Master Mr Cool (long name, I know) which had opened at Pinelands Centro where Nandos used to be situated. Hailing from Chengdu, it’s not your usual hot pot style with sliced meats and vegies, but rather skewers to cook in the pot. With its grand opening sale of 32% off, Adam and I went to try as a matter of priority. Being used to having to wait in line with a considerable crowd, we were surprised to get a table immediately after arriving.
