Not the first time to visit this Vietnamese eatery but notices that it has changed the management at my last visit in early Nov. Walked in at 6:30pm, the business was not as busy as before. Vibe was odd and service lacked of passion. My orders of Beef Casserole and Bread roll and the Starch Noodles soup with pork and crab meat were under the par. The iced Vietnamese coffee gained marks back. Wish the management will pay attention to the discrepancy and all the best for the future business.Rating 3.5/5Jul 09, 2015 Rating 3/5To make it fair that I don’t like to compare this restaurant with Rice Paper across the road but I just cannot get rid of the impressive dining experience from Rice Paper. Honestly, nothing wrong with this restaurant to serve those Vietnamese foods which ought to be homey and rustic. They offer spectacular dishes on the menu. Tastes and quantity are alright. Prices also reasonable. However, it just lacks of passionate feeling, where you can find it from Rice Paper. Just compare the menu of Rice Paper with nice pictures then you know what I mean. Sometimes, set-up and subtle differences on qualities of foods are the key points. Wish to see your improvement in the future.
We came on a weekday for lunch, it was nice and quiet with a few customers. The place is small and cosy. Their service was fast and I found they have a variety of options in their menu too. We ordered the Grilled Pork Banh Mi, Crab meat and Mince meat tapioca noodle soup, Tomato rice with Grilled chicken, and Rice with Quail. All dishes were very delicious, with a good amount of ingredients and flavours. Portion sizes were generous too. The prices were reasonable too. I would definitely return to this restaurant when I crave Vietnamese food.Their matcha shake and white coffee were also very good!
