Seriously, you like to be polite, but what do you say when all is so bad. My coffee was weak, too hot it burnt my tongue, croissant was microwaved to the point of to tough it was inedible, cutlery was dirty, I had to ask for left dishes from previous patrons to be removed even after they served my order. It was a complete disaster, I simply got up and left it was that bad. Sorry but deserving!
After our Sushi lunch I need a strong beverage. We walk over to Belle poque and are served immediately by the friendly Barista. The Vittoria coffee here is always good! We sit at one of two al fresco tables watching people coming and going. Our coffees arrive after 5 minutes. My large double shot Cafe Latte is hot and strong with a beautiful aroma. It hits the spot! Pauls Flat White comes with an unusual amount of foam but he says the coffee is good! The Emporium Hotel has been sold. We hope this little French Cafe will survive any redevelopment.
