So good to see a place with vegan ice cream on the menu, thank you.It was really tasty too and there was more than one dairy free option. Definitely recommend
I was drawn into here Gelare by all that amazing looking ice cream, but my intention was of course coffee. Ordered a double shot flat white & it came pretty good. Looked decent & tasted very smooth. The wafer biscuit from which they make the ice cream cones was a pleasant addition too. If that is a sample it was pretty note worthy!Do not forget to check out the desert cabinet either of particular note were the lemon meringues.
Delicious heavenly waffles, but ice cream has a weird aftertaste I can’t quite put my finger on. Still a nice spot, the waffles and shakes redeems this little dessert joint for me. Overall not too bad.
We have been here about 4 times the waffles are cooked fresh and the service has always been prity good and the store is nice and clean and the menu and range is very good for a desert shop definitely worth a visit of eating at Southbank it’s a great desert stop
Ice cream is good (3.5/5) however iced mocha ordered was unfortunately terrible.. very diluted… left feeling dissapointed after paying $6…
Gelre offers all natural ice cream and also offers a range of vegan coconut-based ice creams. I liked the look of the green tea ice cream and had a taste. I was told this was vegan and was pleasantly surprised at how creamy it was so I decided to get this one in a cup. It did taste sweeter than other green tea ice cream I’ve had before so I’m not sure about the sugar content but at least I felt guilt free for a while and it did taste good. My eating partners enjoyed their chocolate ice creams but the cones fell apart near the bottom.
Dropped in here on a whim and it was pretty disappointing. Mrs Kan Do ordered the Jamaican chocolate and I had a pistachio – both with waffle cone. The pistachio tasted like almond essence. It’s only redeeming feature was the pistachios in it. The Jamaican chocolate was better, but still not great. The cones were sweet and crumbly – not very good. The girls at the counter were friendly and courteous.Should have read your review before I came here Meatballs And Beef Cheeks
