The staff seemed completely disinterested. We went at 4:30 pm, first plate was spring rolls which were stale and cold. Sushi was warm. Asked how long it has been on the train, the lady said since lunch time!! Asked for some to be made fresh. Saw all 3 of the staff on phones. Even the chef who had gloves on was touching the phone of the other chef. Very unsanitary. Very disappointing. Wouldn’t go back I’m afraid.

Honestly the sushi I had ain’t that great, very average… The price was slightly higher than others too but since they’re on Stanley Street, I guess they have high rents to cover. I wouldn’t had dined here (plus takeaway) if my wife wasn’t going through labour in Mater hospital today and due to power shortage, the coffee shop inside mater was closed, forcing me to source lunch else where. Will I return? No… Sorry, the quality vs quantity vs cost just isn’t there. Takoyaki was flat, all sushi rolls were at small portions, choices were minimal, prices were slightly steep and quality seemed slightly stale. The chicken karage was good though, other than that, nothing else worth coming back to.

Agreed with other critic of easily mixing up this place with Hana Zushi at Sunnypark Shopping center. Given their name are so close to each other but I like Hana Zushi more. Making apple to apple, I tend to compare this place with Manna Sushi at Hotel Diana, where the latter provides me a better, comfortable place to dine in. Due to the location of this place, I definitely would not sit at the alfresco dining area because it would be too dusty next to the main road. For the price and food quality, they are passable but I recommend this place for a quick meal only.

Service? What service?. We were as good as ignored from the second we set foot in the place. We had to yell out to ask for items off the menu because none of the staff ventured over or even glanced in our general direction to see if we wanted anything (and there was next to nothing on the train). They then had the audacity to overcharge us by a full meal (not a single sushi plate) and when this was pointed out to them, they didn’t even apologize. Although we went towards the end of their opening hours, it would have been preferable to be politely told they were closing soon rather than receive dismissive, passive-aggressive service. Would NEVER consider going back under any circumstances and would tell everyone I know of this experience too.

Ain’t what it used to be. We have been staying at the hospital for 2 months. Over that time the portion sizes of the teriaki chicken has slowly but surely decreased. They are now half the size and cost the same! Still tastes great but I feel like I’m getting taken for a ride.

Dishonest and sneaky. Went for sushi late afternoon and specifically asked waitress for freshly made sushi (who knows how long has been sitting on the train in a very warm environment). Saw waitress tell chef wanted fresh. I saw him reach over and grab a plate of sushi off the train. I went over and asked him if that was meant for me and he said yes. I told him I ordered fresh and saw the waitress tell him that. He was very rude and abrupt. He agreed to make it fresh in the end but was quite dishonest initially.
