Battered Pickles were delicious but who serves a cheeseburger on Turkish bread? Was ok but not mind blowing, which it should be for the price. Ok service but the feeling staff would prefer to be elsewhere. Disappointed.
Met up with a friend for drinks here & we shared the roasted spiced cauliflower & beer battered pickles. A real winner for me as I was not expecting this type of fare in a bar situation. They have a simple menu which is more than ample & it is not to pricey for the location
The food was just alright, way too pricey, even the beer was pricey. Other than the restaurant location was good, the food was no better than the average fish & chips shop.
Yum yum… Ate here on a busy Friday night but no problems for the staff. Happy and helpful. Had the pulled pork burger which was delicious… Nice range of beers but more on tap would be good. Want to come back for the traditional Sunday roast. Do yourself a favor!
Good spot in Southbank with a decent looking menu and moderate beer range. However, the meat should never be half the size of the bun in a good burger. Fact!
Good place for a drink. Decided to eat here after being attracted by the 2-for-1 offer on burgers and schnitzels. Turned out that 2 of the four burgers on the menu were not available as they had run out of the ingredients. Several items from the main menu were also out of stock – not to mention some varieties of beers had run dry! Ended up with a halloumi stack and a creamy stout beer. The beer was great, and the burger by itself was also very good. However the chips are terrible – borderline supermarket frozen chips – which brought down the value of the meal as a whole. Special mention needs to be made of our server, Trent; who was very helpful with making some great recommendations and gave us a lot of respect and friendly service. Without him, the score would have been lower.
The service at the Hop and Pickle is outstanding, best I have experienced in a long time. There is a great choice of food and beers too. Highly recommend
