Food:Calamari, pork belly, slow cooked beef Environment:Lovely waitress who helped us choose our food. Super friendly Taste: The calamari was perfectly soft to bite into, not tough at all. Pork belly dish was a little on the heavy side. My fault for choosing a carb heavy dish.Value:My pork dish had lots of pork on it, couldnt even finish it. The waitress was kind enough to give us a takeaway container for the beautifully cooked pork belly.
We have mixed feelings about this place… the food was delicious, the price was very good but it just took them ages to bring out the food. It wasn’t even that busy and yet my partner and I, along with 2 other couples around us were kept waiting 45 just for a simple sample plater. Overall, we’d probably go there again for the food, but not on a day where we’re pressed for time, that’s for sure.
I love this place.Fantastic service, great food and beautiful atmosphere at a fair price. One of the best value for money in South Bank.Super super recommend it. Ask for the BEEF RAGU.Fantastic option.
I never complain, seriously but the size of the warm chicken salad for the lunch special was so small I asked if maybe there was a mistake? Nope, that’s it. They did kindly put some more lettuce but really underwhelming. Everything else coming out looked great but I guess the warm chicken salad should be missed.
If I could give it 0 I would…. waited 40mins on Saturday morning for fritters, and when they finally came they were not edible. Rock hard, no flavour and just an extremely poor effort. I told the waitress and left without any breakfast. Luckily she didn’t fight me on it and took it off the bill. Maybe a sign that this happens often enough. Would definitely not recommend.
I went there with my husband and a friend of ours, who has some intolerances like me. The menu is quite small, but with a lot of gluten and dairy free options. I had the fish, my husband took the kangaroo and our friend the steak. My fish and the kangaroo were delicious, but I noticed that the steak was not really easy to cut. The staff was really friendly and professional and the service was quick. Portions are not very generous and prices are quite high for the quantities you find in your plate. But really good food.
I am so disappointed I waited 20 minutes for the eggs benedict for it come out on one tiny piece of bread. Not to mention, it was like $18 and so salty that you could bearly eat it. Such a regret. Never again!
