Just a public service announcement for anyone wanting to order the mushroom lasagne, dont do it! It had no pasta sheets even in it, it was literally just mushrooms in mushroom sauce with cheese on top. We unfortunately also ordered a mushroom pizza (because we actually love mushrooms) but due to how overpowering the lasagne was, we couldnt enjoy our pizza either. Staff however were friendly and Ive been here before and had a nice dinner so it can be good; we just ordered poorly.

A stunning location, with down to earth and friendly staff. The bolognese is sublime and I highly recommend it! Perfect for dinner with friends or as a romantic night out.

Used to be a semi-regular at this place. Unfortunately the quality of the food seems to have decreased significantly since our last visit (about 6-8 months ago). The polpette (meatballs) were under-seasoned and slightly rubbery, the arancini similarly were flavourless. Pizza was also below par, not seasoned properly and with prosciutto that was cut far too thick. I have eaten these same dishes at Popolo several times in the past and they were always to die for.Not sure whether theres been a change in the kitchen (because the service and drinks are still fine) but regardless I cant justify going back anytime soon.

Was seated at the front of the restaurant that had absolutely magnificent views of the Brisbane CBD and river, was well worth booking ahead and requesting these tables. Wife and I ordered 3 of the smaller share plates and one side, food was average. I must admit I was expecting more. Service was really good, but the food was a bit of a let down. I think next time we will forgo the view and head to one of the Grey St. restaurants if we head into Southbank.

Went here for date night and was surprised with the picnic package from Popolo. Sit in front of the city lights and down pizza & pasta. Cant go wrong. Highly Reccomended for a tinder date… If you dont get her back to your place after this romantic picnic she must be celiac or your a weirdo !!

Pleasurable dining experience for a group of 10 lunching in the Saturday sun. I enjoyed my cocktail followed by sharing one small plate and one large plate with my husband. Could not fault the delicious scallops on top of corn relish. Our large plate of tiger prawns rigatoni was quite a deep robust dish more suited for a rainy dinner but still tasted great with the capers throughout.

We had a picnic option tonight for two given we had a 16 month old with us. The food was cold and hard, the drinks were hot. It took 40minutes for us to basically receive a pizza and chips. Improvement and better service is needed here.
