I bought a cocobella coconut water , had one sip and found the taste weird. I checked the expiry date and guess what it’s expiry from last 2 months. Shocking. Place needs to be shut down.
Does not even deserve a 1Boss speaks to staff in a disgusting manner. I happened to be sitting outside steam cafe (thank god I didn’t purchase anything from them) The boss was speaking to his female employee obviously about a negative situation that had occurred. The way he was speaking to her was terribly degrading I was going to say something but this man gave off such an intimidating vibe I didn’t want to get involved. It seemed like this lady did not enjoy working here and his solution was for her to leave immediately and this was her fault not his. This went on for about an hour until he abruptly left after calling over another male staff member to have a go at her. By the end she was in tears because she had been fired in front of steam cafe customers, the public and her coworkers. Nobody deserves to be spoken to and be humiliated like that in public. I know I will never purchase anything from this cafe and if you are reading this review please do not support the way this man treats his employees. It was absolutely disgusting.
Very expensive for very little food. I don’t normally write reviews, but felt this to be in order. $15 for a foccacia with chicken and cheese. The foccacia bread was thinner than a slice of bread, and the chicken was nothing to write home about. Had this come with chips and salad, then this price may have been fair. On its own, well I won’t be back.My sister and her husband paid $72 for a lasagna, burger and a child’s mall, and drinks. They were not impressed with the mall sizes our quality of the food either.We don’t mind paying a highwe price for food, but I expect a fair price for a fair meal. The restaurant we went to immediately after was much better!!!!
Way overpriced.. My partner and I thought we’d stop by for lunch on the way home and regretted our decision! I don’t mind paying decent money if the food is worth it but this definitely was not. $18 for a sub par wrap with a few chips on the side is just ridiculous. Almost $50 total for 2 Wraps (one without chips) and 3 drinks,all to be served in a horrible eating area surrounded by birds. We won’t be back.

I am a regular here and I must admit the Steam House Breakfast on a weekend morning overlooking the parklands and city has the wow factor !!!I am the Brisbane Breakfast King having dined out 3 to 4 times a week for over 30 years .
