A wonderful place to visit on a early Sunday evening during my recent trip to Brisbane. Met a school friend who is settled in Melbourne and visited the South Park area.I wanted to try their craft beer and settled for the 4 Wives Pilsener , comfortably seated. It was almost a full house and entertaining music played by a three man band.

Came here for dinner on a Wednesday night. We ordered the baked camembert to share, it was amazing. Got three different breads to dip in and tasted so yummy. I ordered the scallops as a main with a side of coal roasted carrot and broccolini. All three dishes were incredible. The carrot was crispy and the broccolini and goat cheese went so well together. The scallops were fantastic. They had mashed potato, raisins and pickled elements and they all paired together so well. Such amazing meals and great service. Highly recommend coming here!!

Came here for pre-dinner drinks with work colleagues on a work trip, before heading to Ahmets Turkish (also in SouthBank). Monday night, and there was live music going on, so that was a plus. The downside was it was too loud to be able to chat with people, so we had to head outside, but them were under smoke barrage. Pity.Drinks were displayed in an interesting way, showing the type of the drink from its characteristics and flavour profile, plus Alcohol content, very nicely done. I got a glass of the Swindler, first time having that one (I’ve had other James Squire brews before), and I quite liked it. Reasonable size for the price.I can’t give it more stars because of the overbearing loudness of the performer and the smoke situation, plus, didn’t get a chance to check out any food either. Perhaps next time.

I’m not a massive beer fan, I’m usually always visiting places for the food options.Charming Squire always is buzzing with a large crowd which makes it interesting getting a spot in the beer garden area. This was the case when we visited and were sat in the restaurant. The restaurant is equally as nice, and on a hot spring day it was a winner for us.The menu options were 10/10. I was expecting to pay a premium at this venue but was delightfully surprised that that was not the case!Meals are brought out in a decent time and are exceptionally large and would pair quite well with the beverage selections.
