Strolling through the Botanical Gardens after lunch I noticed this coffee cart the other day. Almost forgot about it actually! Have to mention it on here because the brew I received that day was pretty good. Nice & strong with nutty overtones. A good place to relax with your brew on a sunny day too
The Coffee Cart – Brisbane CBD. From being a regular visitor to the main cafe in the past, after seeing this as an extension of Bleeding Heart I knew that I had to try this place out when it is open. Idyllically located located in the city’s Botanical Gardens, the barista I got was mentioning positively about how he himself enjoys being there. It has not been open long and there is the wish for word-of-mouth as opposed to advertising in-store at the home base; that would not be within their modus operandi. All up he was very friendly and conversationalThere is not much to the coffee cart’s appearence; it is simple in design with a fridge full of cold drinks and chocolates. There is a decked out espresso machine as the basis of service. It overlooks the lakes and bird-life with a relaxing atmosphere. Walking through the main pedestrian entrance, it is in plain sight. They have switched over to using Toby’s Estate as a blend, and this is a dark and really rich blend. It was a subtle increase of nutty flavours as an after taste. That was apparent when drinking my order of a double-shot cappuccino, which made the fantastic combination of well-frothed milk and the bean mixture a step-up from the Blackstar blend of days past. I will certainly do what I can to support this cart and help spread the word to people I know around the place. Retreating to the Botanical Garden’s sometime in the future just might have a parallel silver lining if this place is open. Another case of proof that if a coffee place can fit there and no-one has tried it, some clever soul is showing astute initiative for location.
