We went here recently for my partner’s birthday as it used to be his favourite Italian in the area – unfortunately not anymore after our latest meal. I hate to leave bad reviews but the recent menu changes are not great. I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli which I previously had there many times and loved but this time, it was super salty towards the end, like someone had tipped a heap of salt into the bottom so I couldn’t finish it. Some of the others in our group also commented on the saltiness of the dishes (the lamb ragu and the lobster gnocchi). One of our group had the mushroom papardelle which didn’t appear to have many mushrooms in, just cream. I’m really disappointed as we used to love coming here, but sadly I don’t think we will after the latest meal 🙁

Our #1 option for our date nights. Spinach ravioli was rich and tasty. It kept up with out expectations. Great service and reasonable prices.

Very hit and miss… I had the spinach & ricotta ravioli which was very creamy without feeling heavy – delicious!!Gnocchi serving was huge and it would’ve been way too much for me but those who ordered it was happy with the portion size. Gnocchi pieces were very small and texture was a bit too dense & gluggy for my liking. Flavour between dishes was not consistent – we had 2 orders of the lobster gnocchi at our table but the kitchen messed up and we only got one. When the 2nd gnocchi finally came out (after everyone else had almost finished their meals), compared with the first one the sauce was very pale and tasted very bland – it was as though they had seriously watered down the sauce. We all tried a bit of gnocchi from each dish and unanimously agreed that they tasted completely different. Kids meal was a miss too – the mac n cheese was so terribly bland even the child didn’t want to eat it lolWhen we told our waiter about these dishes he said he would check with the kitchen but never returned!! We ended up getting the kids meal taken off the menu but not the gnocchi – this felt like a big slap in the face… if they were to only take one dish off the bill it really should be the gnocchi although they were both so terrible that they should’ve taken both off!!All in all I would go back just because that ravioli was supper yummo but the lack of consistency with service and short cuts taken with the food wouldn’t make me rush back in any real hurry

The staff here have always been friendly and efficient in my opinion. The service was fast and drinks tastey. I usually get one of the pesto dishes and it has never let me down. A great location for an after-dinner stroll.

Came here on a very busy Friday night without a booking but they managed to give us a table for 2. I got the mushroom risotto and my GF got the pesto pasta, we also shared the caprese salad. The service was fine and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food even though there were a few large tables. The risotto was alright and the pesto pasta was rich and creamy. The only downside would have been the price however we still had a very enjoyable dining experience and evening.

Gone downhill since last visit. Our waitress was a lady with glasses and black hair in little plaits (no name tag) who came over and muttered something. My husband and I didnt hear it and thought she was asking us for the order. We had literally just sat down about three minutes prior and asked her about particular favourites that we like its on the menu she repeated several times until I said for the second time I know its probably on the menu but we literally just sat down and havent had a chance to lookIf she had changed her wording to oh yes, thats there on the menu and showed us in a polite manner I would have been peeved. The way she said it ( three times ) in an annoyed way just set my teeth on edge.We got 4 slices of burnt garlic bread for $11However, we were lucky with our food as the group next to us were talking about there $25 burnt pizza – it was pretty burnt. Wont go back again.

So, me and my husband wanted to try this place since long and we decided to give it a try one day while we were roaming around in South bank. We found the food to be average and overpriced. We had ordered gnocchi, ravioli, garlic bread and some drinks. The food lacked the freshness as well as the taste. The service is ok. But, overall I found this place to be over hyped.
