Share plate ordered it arrived but no share plates. Dinner arrives still no forks, we have to call staff back to bring them. Steak arrived ordered med rare. It is blue and tough, returned with a different piece now over cooked tough and full of gristle, salad not dressed properly! Terrible!! Complained but still charged full price, what a rip off!!

Nightmare experience. Goodness, can guarantee The Hog we won’t ever eat at the Toowoomba store again. Arrived at 6.45pm as booked to be greeted well, quickly seated and at tentatively served for drinks and entree. Thereafter, the service got poorer. Table across from us was then occupied by the rudest, loudest young people whose conversation frequently used the ‘F’ word. We couldn’t hear each other speak they were so obnoxious. Although the meal was pretty good, the service was not! We waited a very long time for any waitress to come take our dessert order, even going out to chase up a waitress. When one finally showed up, she was distracted by the loud mouths at the table over from us complaining about their meal, so we still didn’t get to order dessert! In the end we decided to skip dessert as the wait was far too long. Went to pay our bill and found their computer system went down and we were left waiting another 25 mins whie they worked out everyone’s bills. The staff never apologized for the inconvenience but went on about how they did all they could do, not caring hw long we were left waiting. When challenged they stood and argued, so the customer is left wondering why they went there to enjoy a night out. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant for service or politeness. Been to other Hogs Breathe and couldn’t fault them. But Toowoomba I will never go to again!
How much time do you have?. Have just had a bad experience with the Toowoomba restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant at 6.30pm. We were immediately given menus and orders were taken straight away for drinks. Because we had just been seated we had not yet seen the menu to order our food unfortunately. Our first round of drinks came out within five minutes, and then we ordered our meals, but that was the last that we saw of any serving staff for a long time. We had finished our drinks for at least 20 minutes before the waitress who seemed to be in charge seemed to notice that we didn’t have drinks or food. Drink orders were taken and this is where the night became like a nightmare. The drinks were brought over and after placing a couple on the table, the waitstaff promptly spilled the remaining drinks on his tray all over the table. After cleaning up the table and everything starting to dry out, another waitstaff came over with the replacements for the spilled drinks. And spilled these as well. After this the service didn’t improve with our meals taking all up 50+ minutes to come out, luke warm, one with wilted lettuce and one with no salad or veges at all. If you want a good steak, go to somewhere where the staff actually know what type of cow it has come from. Or even better, support your local butchers like Toni’s (Corner Hume and Herries).
Best steak you’ll eat
