I have lived in Toowoomba for 7 years now and had never been to Phat Burgers as I thought a burger was just a burger. Needless to say after my visit here I honestly don’t think I will be visiting any other burger joints any time soon. The burger I had was so full of flavour with soft tasty meat and great sauces. My husband and I are already talking about which burger we will have next YUM!
I am not sure why this place gets such high reviews. I went to Phat Burger today, and yes the service was good. The food really is not that great. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the burger at all.

Love coming here and getting reliably tasty, large, meaty burgers. Come for the Yakuza, wasabi paste with steak – there’s nothing else like it in Toowoomba!
These burgers are both phat AND fat we came here a few weeks ago to grab some dinner while in Toowoomba for the night. We both had a Van Helsing burger – ah-mazing! The staff are very friendly too will definitely be going back the next time we are in T-ba!
Better Burgers than Bris. Living in Bris, I cant wait to go to Phatburgers when I visit Toowoomba, because they honestly have tastier, bigger and more exciting burgers than anywhere in Brisbane. Its not a chain, its consistently amazing, and its done so well they have opened up a 2nd venue, which says a lot for a small business in a town like Toowoomba. The burgers are huuuuge, and the varied menu is just as good as it sounds. I have tried most of the menu now, and have never had a burger that was short of excellent. Burgers like the Sumo (Wagyu Beef Pattie, Pickled Plum, Tofu and Mushroom) and the Doctor (Beef Pattie, Pistachio, Mint, Feta and Eggplant) are amazing flavour combos, and they dont skimp on anything like burger joints normally do. Plus they have a stella range of extras, (haloumi, pomegranate and walnut tabouli, grilled pineapple etc), a generous variety of extra meat and heaps of sauces…..which I recommend to go with their kumara chips, they’re extra thick and damn tasty. Burger Urge and Grilled etc etc dont even compare with this joint. Definitely visit if you’re stopping by its finger licking good.
