Went with a group. Everyone has to either have the buffet or order from the menu. I wouldn’t say any of the food was traditional Chinese given 80% was battered and deep fried, but it was all hot and what you would expect for westernised Asian food.
WHATS CHANGED. Been a regular at this restaurant and can honestly say they have changed the recipe for their Beef and Black Bean AND its not for the better its tasteless now…Thought two weeks ago it was a mistake had it again last week and no improvement.In fact-its gone from a nice thick sauce to a much thinner tasteless sauce.Not sure where the regular staff have gone?Has it changed owners? its that different…
Another one less place to go to. Judging from the reviews from other users, we are not alone in saying that the buffet was a big disappointment. Exorbitantly priced, we were expecting a lot more for the amount of money we paid. We have actually tried the buffet a couple of times just to give it a chance to redeem itself. Unfortunately, over time, the food selection has not improved and the quality has gone downhill from the first time we tried it. We won’t be back.
Ate here purposely after learning they were awarded best Chinese in qld…… What a let down, nothing tasty about their food at all.
Those who actually don’t like the buffet maybe you should spend a little more and pay for the real dining experience it was simply amazing anyone looking for a really nice meal come and try. I know I will be coming here next time I’m up from Melbourne 😉
Very over rated buffet. $26 for a buffet that is akin to one of those sloppy serve your self food court Chinese joints. Exorbitant drink prices and just a nasty tacky selection of cheaply made fried foods and woeful dessert selections. Do yourself a favour, and just eat up the road at Ni Hao, or any of the Asian options on Margaret or Ruthven st. This was a rip off!
Not authentic enough. Best Chinese in QLD? Disappointed.
