My family and I came to Sizzlers’ for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, the line was out the door and we had a table of 9; we contemplated leaving but few of the young cousins were content on Sizzlers’ so we waited for a table. We were seated about 20mins later and all got the buffet. The food in the buffet was warm but it was refilled as frequently as it needed to be, plus the ice cream machine was out of order. The food we got was an ok standard but nothing to make us go back straight away.
15-20 years ago this used to be a good value family venue. Now I don’t know how people afford it! Such a rip off! For what your spend you could go to a nice restaurant instead of fighting someone for the last prawn in the salad at the trough…
Ok let’s just go through what I had and try to find something positive. I ordered for main the seafood which consisted of 2 pieces of flathead chips and battered and crumbed prawns. The flathead was grey and tasted like bloodline. The prawns were rubbery and tasteless. There was also salt and pepper squid I swear there was more salt and pepper batter then squid, the squid was about 2 mm thick. All in all the main was just horrid. I also had ice cream it was just a sugar hit it use to be good, nice soft serve and creamy it was just like an icy mush slurry. Anyway I could rant on about the potato skins and rest of the salad bar but I won’t I just wouldn’t wish our experience upon anyone. Ohh there was one positive the olives were great! Haha! Don’t forget to take out a small loan as well before you fork out for horrid food. Thanks.
All you can meat. I’ve been hauling my fat a$$ to sizzler on a weekly basis for the past 25 days. All i can say is i’ve got my moneys worth every single year. What a dining experience. I also had the pleasure of meeting Gorge Columbis of Masterchef fame. He told me they where filming a new mix up show of Masterchef and the biggest looser called ‘the Fattest Masterchef’. The contestants travel to every sizzler in Queensland, and cook mouth watering meals using only bacon bits. I for one cant wait for this, and i thank you for having a meat and greet with Gorge.
Things haven’t changed in years!!!! Not worth the $$$$- quality is very poor!
