Called by here for a quick flat white takeaway as I was in need of a hit after throwing my previous one away from another takeaway place. I didn’t order the coffee strong as I noticed it was a double shot in the $4 one. It delivered & the coffee was smooth & creamy with a decent hit

Heard a few really good reviews of Collective and had to try it out! From the footpath, it looks quite small until you actually get up the stairs and realise it’s a lot more spacious than it looks. Seating options both inside and outside with some foliage outside to create a bit more privacy when you’re dining. Decor is minimalistic and neat.Coffee was a tad too strong for my taste. Considering it was a mocha, I didn’t get any sweet notes from the chocolate – unfortunately, it was overpowered by the strength of the coffee. Food – we ordered the sweet corn and spring onion fritters with sticky, sweet pork belly, a poached egg, fresh mint salad and a side of haloumi for me (because haloumi is life). Portion wise – it was massive (definitely not complaining – I was so happy with it). The mint salad was soo incredibly fresh – it was liked they tossed the salad and plated it as they were walking to the table. Great textures and flavours which, combined with the stickiness and sweetness of the pork belly, savoury tone from the fritters and richness from the delectable runny egg – ultimate satisfaction. The only downfall was that some of the pork belly slices were wonderfully tender, a couple of pieces – the meat was dry and tough and the rind quite chewy. Overall -it was really good value for money and super delicious. Will definitely return and great place for a catch up before work. Service was quick, staff were really friendly and bubbly, great value for money and the food – yummy!

Rocked up for brekkie with an Entertainment Book discount and no expectations whatsoever. What resulted was a terrific experience I’m glad to have had. The menu is different to that online. Turns out we both couldn’t resist the corn fritters with sticky pork belly, poached egg & fresh mint salad. What morning decadence! Oh my it was good. Like…pork belly sticking to your teeth good. There were some slight inconsistencies with the pork but overall the fatty richness was nicely offset by the fresh bean sprouts and mint. The fritters were nice enough, and complimented the other elements well. As determined as we were to finish it all, sadly we both admitted defeat. My pia colada smoothie was a tasty godsend in this steamy weather. Also liked that even in the outdoor dining area, there was cool music playing at an appropriate volume. It’s not a large menu but I’d love to return. I bet I’d order the same thing all over again…

Nice atmosphere, has a fully stocked bar to suit everyone’s flavours and has a nice shaded elevated view over Ann street.Coffee is good, service has always been good, dual cashiers run at lunch time often to cope with the crowd which is awesome for us on the run. Maybe book a table if you know you’re coming in for lunch as it gets busy and seating is at a premium. My go too feed is the Chicken Burger or Beef burger and although they are $19 each they do come served with chips automatically. Further more there is a lunch time deal on both of these options for $17 with a soft drink which makes this probably the best value sub $20 lunch in the northern CBD area around Cathedral Square. The servings are generous and I’ve never left hungry.

One my favourites! They do amazing lunch specials, I have been there a few times, my favourite dish is their mushroom pizza, I asked for chillies in it and yum yum yum ! Everything on the pizza wash fresh, full of flavours. Their customer service is exceptional, I also like how the owner works amongst the staff and goes out of her way to serve customers 🙂

Not the best place to be on a hot summer’s day even in the shade as there is no seating inside where the airconditioner is located. We sat on the artificial turfed dining area out front and luckily for our table there was a slight breeze and plenty of cold water on the table.Apart of the usual pizza, burgers, fish and chips there are exciting menu choices including softshell crab tacos $15, cheese and crispbread $11, 400g t-bone steak $40, charcoal roasted lamb shoulder 1.2kg $56 (which serves 2 to 4 people), teriyaki-glazed spatchcock $34 and blackboard specials was well. The Chef’s feast house favourites are charcoal grilled choice cuts and a variety of sides $52 per person with a minimum of 4 guests.I did notice that the website menu is a little different from the actual menu which contains a few more selections. The counter and wait staff were really welcoming and friendly – a nice change. Meals came out of the kitchen very quickly.Pay at the counter works well if you have individuals who want to order separately.Photo of the Angus burger with chips – nice textured meat patty on a fresh soft toasted bun.Friends have commented that this place also serves a great chai latte – so Ill have to come back again. I am hoping they make their own chai using fresh spices and a strong black tea.New specials are published @collectivekitchenbar on Instagram. Website at www dot collectivekitchen dot com dot au

I had the Angus beef burger with chips. The burger was delicious with the highlight being the generous amount of pickles. Chips were cooked to perfection. Serving size was just right for dinner, it may have been too much for lunch (not that it would have stopped me from polishing it off). The area around the building has just been redone and looks fresh and inviting. Service was friendly on the night. Will be returning soon to try more of the menu!
