I Love this place. the sashimi and chicken karage are the best. Very fresh and value for money – i wish they were in Sydney but i look forward to coming here when i’m in Brisbane. Consistently good food.
Closed early!. Went to Little Paradise at around 9.45pm on a Friday night but they had closed early however online they state that their closing time is 10.30pm. They either need to update their opening hours online or simply stick to the opening hours as advertised! Kinda annoying when you make your way out to get there just to see everything all packed up and lights off.
My favorite Japanese/Korean restaurant. Love the food, awsome fresh sushi and great roce dishes. Excellent value for money
Spicy Pork Yes Yes yes. I have tried Spicy Pork at pretty much every Korean restaurant in the CBD and Little Paradises take on it is exquisite. More Spicy Pork for All, simply delicious.
Always get their takaway orders WRONG. I used to live in the same building as this restaurant, and now live a few blocks away in Spring Hill. I used to get takeaways from these guys a few times per month. It was convenient and food was generally okay … but around 50% of the time they get the order wrong!Opening my takeaways was often a mystery surprise. Even though I usually tried ordering the same couple of dishes I must have sampled their entire menu. My prawn teryaki were somehow magically transformed into baby octopi or a chicken katsu curry. Its not necessarily that the food was bad … but it just frequently wasn’t what I ordered or what I actually felt like eating. When I lived in the same building I could at least return it, but that’s less easy now that I live a few blocks further away.Maybe its my fault for being a native-speaker of English (kiwi). The front office staff seem not to understand me. Yet even when I get the person taking the order to repeat it back to me (verifying that its correct) the cook STILL gives me something completely different. It’s frustrating, disorganised and just poor service. It’s a real shame, since when they do get the order right the food is actually pretty good.Disappointed regular customer. Very unlikely I will return.
A great night. After experiencing this restaurant with some trepidation as a result of reading the reviews I have to say that this place has been most unfairly treated.Sure we went on a night that was very quiet – and that might explain the difference but we had a thoroughly good time and were delighted with the service and the food.It wasn”t as authentic as I would have liked but having spent time in Japan and Korea my views on the food served in most Aussie restaurants serving those foods is somewhat tainted.I enjoyed the food, but the others in our party were absolutely delighted. The waitress was extremely helpful, patient and pleasant’ The food was served in a timely manner, as were the drinks… and there was absolutely no sense of being second class customers because we were there on a Scoupon voucher. In my view this restaurant comes highly recommended.
Really yummy food and a great price. I have been there a few times through coupon deals (not the all-you-can eat ones) and I love the food and think it’s good value for money, even if you didn’t have a coupon. Having lived in Japan I know that not all Japanese food is exquisitely displayed and tastes like heaven in your mouth – if you go to an izakaya you get cheap and cheerful, and that’s exactly what Little Paradise is.And despite what some of the reviews say, I think the food is delicious!
