Amazing Vietnamese with friendly staff, already becoming very popular at lunchtimes. Menu is well balanced and provides strong offering for both meat and vegetarian eaters.
This small family-owned restaurant serves up authentic, classic Vietnamese dishes with incredible flavours. Located in Spring Hill Marketplace, the carpark is typically full, but there are plenty of street parking around. I have tried their Classic Pork Banh Mi, Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli Salad Bowl, Nem Nuong, Lemongrass Pork Rice Paper Rolls, Vietnamese Iced White Coffee and Taro Yoghurt + Rice. What makes their rice paper rolls different from other Vietnamese joints is their use of a crispy piece of Spring Roll wrapper – this addition just makes it all worth it, so I highly recommend them. With coffee beans sourced from their family farm in Vietnam, you can definitely taste that kick of caffeine that's satisfyingly comforting with that mix of condensed milk. The Yoghurt and Rice is chewy, creamy and refreshing with those little bits of crushed ice. Expect home-cooked flavours with their Banh Mi, Salad and Rice Bowls and Pho! Mamma Do's can never disappoint and a better option of Vietnamese just a little drive away from the city centre
A crunchy Banh Mi bread with a soft Dô (dough) perfectly flavored Roast Pork Belly crackling and with fresh vegetables. And to top it off, the Vietnamese Iced Coffee that complements the Bahn Mi which was sweet and taste-bud satisfying. The atmosphere is calm and inviting and the location fits the vibe of the Spring Hill area, which is, in fact, demographically to the Asian community. Additionally, the staff are friendly and are easy to converse with.
Been here multiple times and am always amazed by the taste and quality of the food. The staff are friendly and conversational and I can’t wait to go there again.
Love Mamma Do’s vegetarians rice paper rolls and taro yoghurt with black rice. So fresh and healthy. Classic pork banh mi is one of the best I’ve tried, but gets sold out quickly. Very authentic Viet food!
