Yes it’s a bar and yes it’s not fine dining, but if you’re looking for a cheap pub meal then this place is where you would go. My boyfriend and I live locally and we found ourselves too lazy to cook the other night so somehow we ended up here. We often come here on a night out for drinks but have never eaten here, we were pleasantly surprised. There were about half a dozen full tables of people chatting between themselves and also to the staff, a very friendly and community feel. It’s a bit dark and dingy inside but it’s clean and so is the open style kitchen which you can see into. I got a chicken parmigiana (don’t judge me, it was one of those days). At first when it came out I thought it was small, but it turned out to be the perfect size because on the rare occasion I eat a pub meal, I overeat by a lot. The salad was really fresh and the chicken was really juicy and tender, my only complaint was that the breading of the chicken could have been a little bit crispier, but apart from that it was enjoyable. My boyfriend said he really liked his steak sandwich and that the meat was really tender and juicy, he just wished the grated cheese had of been melted as it kept falling out. Our order of two meals and two beers was less than $40, you will definitely get your value for money here. We ended up staying for a few drinks and had a really good night. I would recommend it for a cheap pub style meal.
