Had a scrumptious dinner of sirloin steak (cooked perfectly), charred corn, and grain and beetroot salad. All staff were exceptionally friendly – even though it was new years day and all had seen the new year in! 🙂 Limited options for vegetarians but food is all fresh and well prepared. Decor and seating very spacious and calming. Would definitely come back.

Went here for breakfast. Beautifully designed restaurant. Had a great table with the morning sun shining through. I ordered the full breakfast. It was mediocre. It felt like the waiter had gone to a Bain-marie and plated up a meal for us. The coffee was very watery and tasteless. Maybe I ordered poorly but expected an exceptional breakfast.

All in all a pretty average experience. Food was really fantastic – had eggs benedict which was great. But they forgot my coffee.. Was there for an hour and they apologised for the wait on the coffee twice. But it never came. I had paid when ordering my meal so I walked out instead of waiting. They also had their system break and couldn’t print out a tax receipt. They also said this was coming but it never did. Was disappointing because the food was great!

Delicious, imaginative food beautifully presented. Wine list has something for everyone. Also do really good menu of the day lunches for very reasonable prices. Negatives…service not great. Decor and atmosphere are a bit…um…too minimalist for my liking. That said, the leafy, bench seats on the Boundary Street side are a nice spot to hide and enjoy the great food. Give it a go!

We were always planning to visit Tumbling Stone for breakfast & decided to go for dinner at the last moment the other evening. Although we enjoyed the night & the service was professional we were not overwhelmed by the food. The menu is simple & basic (always a good thing) My partner had the Cape Grim sirloin which wasn’t cooked enough for him (he doesn’t enjoy his meat pink unlike the guys on My Kitchen Rules!) My barramundi was cooked well & I enjoyed the accompanying goats curd & pickled beetroot relish hence am giving a score of 3 for my food. Also enjoyed my side of charred corn with chilli which I also forgot to mention

Good place to go.Love the dessert, especially the chamomile infused rockmelon. The chicken wings are good with ranch dressing but not in a good design as other cuisine.

Had a beautiful rosemary crusted lamb rump here, was absolutely amazing. A middle eastern inspired dish with so much flavour and cooked perfectly. Also had a side of the BBQ corn with shaved parmesan and chilli salt, this was also a winner. Possibly one of the best meals this year. Service was impeccable as was the setting, you must visit this place you will not be disappointed. Thank you.
