Great bbq. The brisket, pork ribs and beef ribs are pretty great. A true credit for the area. Ive been back a few times. And when I move to the area it will be my regular bbq places.

I went here expecting aa pub meal. Instead I found a hidden gem.The BLVD had a very relaxed feel and an extensive menu.If you like a big caveman feast of meat with a sife of meat order off the seriously smoke section of the menu.

Go elsewhere. There is far better and cheaper BBQ buffets. At $48.50 a head you a right to expect enough food. For a booking of 10 the main BBQ was served on 3 trays without out sufficient food for all to try. For example, 6 ribs in total, 3 chicken thighs in total, heaps of pulled pork!! awful macaroni cheese which did not compliment and terrible service. Had to ask for my drinks twice. Raised issues in an email, got no response. Called and spoke to manager who could not have cared less. Told me will raise with chef. That was it!! go elsewhere.

Although owners Josh Lawson & James McDermott began the restaurant as fine dining, they soon decided to meet the market with a more casual dining experience, embracing their passion for wood-fired barbeque in true low and slow American cooking tradition. This is no casual affair with smoke, the guys taking out the title of 2015 Grand Champions at the Burleigh Heads regional BBQ championship. The legacy of fine dining remains, at least in the comfort level of the restaurant. But its the BBQ were interested in. With Josh busy in the kitchen, James gives us a tour of the smokers one in the kitchen and the competition beast out back in the carpark.BBQ features prominently on the restaurants menus… foodgoldcoast.com.au

Not surprised if it has changed hands or the boss was away for the weekend.. Service was quite rude and unaccomodating and food not impressive.. Large group so booked in days in advance with meal choices and still took over an hour.. I will not return to find out if was a once off, only took a photo in case got food poisoning..

You would not expect an American smoke house to be nestled underneath a hotel with a contemporary decor. And that is why I never noticed BLVD until someone told me to check it out. After some serious deliberation we ordered beef and pork ribs, smoked sausage, fries and buffalo wings. We tried to order some pulled pork, but for some reason it wasn’t ready to order. The beef ribs were band in terms of juiciness, the flavour profile was good but maybe a little over cooked if you were trying to take grand prize at an American BBQ comp (pulled of the bone to easily, without have a little bight). The pork ribs were quite dry in comparison, but did have bags of flavour. The sausage and chicken were both at a mouth watering level and would surely have you asking for more. The buffalo wings would have to be my favourite American comfort food dishes, and I have cooked these more times than Donald trump has outraged someone. These bad boys didn’t quite meet my expectations as they were a little dry and the flavour profile did not have the depth I was after. Lastly, the fries appear to have 10 tons of flavour but the paprika style spice salt is a little bland, although cooked well. So now moving onto service. As there was only one staff managing the floor, some longs waits were dropped in, but once he arrived he was attentive and informative. In closing, some pretty good BBQ that could do with some tweaking if you want to the true American competition style BBQ. Food 7/10 service 7.5/10 decor 7.5/10
