Been here several times including last night…. the food is your basic pub food done in an all you can eat buffet style. Lots of choice at a very reasonable price. Can be very busy at times and at times the staff struggle to keep the buffet well stocked so you have to time your visit….on the plus side the food is tasty and fresh. Can be noisy and lots of kids so not really recommended for a quiet romantic dinner for two. Last night there was some entertainment for Waitangi Day which was a lovely added bonus. Definitely prefer this to Sizzler…….
Absolute disgust with this place. The steamed rice was raw, the mashed potato was cold and most definitely a packet mix, and the meat tasted like it was a day old. I would have been better off eating dirt and staying at home. After trying to get a refund, we were told they do not give refunds in full if the food is up to temperature (even though it certainly was not), and our main complaints about the food quality were completely disregarded. The place was dirty, since there was food all over the floor and the waiters incompetence really showed when they never failed to drop cutlery and food on the floor. Would not recommend, left feeling sick and unsatisfied. Kerosene will be needed to wash my mouth out.
Probably the worst places I’ve been to in Brisbane. Didn’t go in with any expectations, but it was on groupons so decided to give it a go just for the price. Literally everything is overcooked, I couldn’t even swallow the butter chicken… which is really really hard to screw up. The selection was small and even the desserts, which you’d expect most to be premixes anyway, were horrible.I don’t usually spend much time on writing a review, but I feel like making a PSA to warn people to stay away…. just go to your local RSL, it’ll be cheaper, better, and more to choose from…..
I could only rate this place 2 unfortunately because they falsely advertised feed the family for $58 Monday- Thursday’s and when we arrived the man refused to honour this saying prices varied depending on the child’s ages (7,8 & 11) and charged my friend $88 even though the offer was advertised at the counter! (This was last Wednesday) If the price had have been right I would have been really happy, great selection of foods for everyone & lots of desserts. Sooooo much better than sizzler salad bar.I’m very conflicted whether I would go back because the food is good but their integrity is in the gutter.
30/04/2016 Well recommended by us 🙂 A great buffet !It is a sizzler style buffet, but tastier and cheaper at $20 a head.We went to the buffet as a couple on Saturday night. We only lucked onto a table because the attendant called a booking for cancellations. There were no free tables at 7:15pm. All the food was very good. Equal to a more expensive buffet and better than Sizzler. There are no steak or prawn choices and they are not needed. The buffet choices were: Roast Pork, vegetables with trimmings, Fish n Chips, Pizza, Mexican, Vegetarian Lasagna, 3 Asian beef and vegetable dishes, rice, Pork Ribs, sausages, 2 soups, really good quality feshly made Ceaser, Potato, Garden and Coleslaw salads, with beets, greens, cheese and trimmings, with flesh bread rolls or garlic bread. Deserts were Ice Cream, my favorite excellent Sticky Date pudding, Apple Crumble, Caramelized Pineapple in caramel sauce, and hot caramel fudge or chocolate sauces. Cold deserts were strawberry mousse, chocolate mousse, Fresh yummy fruit salad, Pavlova, several nice slices, Custard and jelly. All the food tasted great and was well presented. Only the pizza was a bit ordinary.Prices were $20 Adult, $15 child, $55 Family of 2 adults and 3 children, $16 Seniors and No young pensioner discounts.Heavily patronised by the Islander and New Zealander community who always know where there is good food at reasonable rates.
Went here today for lunch for my sister’s birthday and we walked out all very pleased. Wasn’t expecting too much since it was so cheap for a buffet but then once we got in, there was a good selection of food and we all ended up eating platefuls. The people who worked there were very nice as well, they didn’t try have convos with us but they had manners and were always smiling and thanking us as we left. Only downside was not really any seafood but not complaining considering how inexpensive it was to eat there.
I think it is the worst buffet that I ever have in Brisbane. I wonder how come there still be a lot of people rushing to dine in. Price charged seems low but you need to pay extra for more quality seafood e.g. a bucket of prawns. Varieties of food provided are limited. Food quality is not acceptable, particularly at the hot food section, I had a piece of pork which was fatty and tasteless. I think the best decision of the management is the play ground set for the kids, which really brings in a lot of family diners but it also attract the noisiness which brings the negatives.
