A busy cafe next to the bsl. Had their apple crumble muffin which was too sweet for me. I did not know whether they really put banana in it but somehow, I could taste a strong flavour of banana in the muffin. The muffin was so big for me that it was enough to fulfill my hunger until dinnertime. The chocolate muffin was good though, not too sweet.
Average coffee that I wouldn’t return for. I’ve never tried the mains but I might come back to give it a shot. I like the ambience here, it’s pretty relaxed and nice.
Good coffee, good service, coupled with nice selection of gluten free and vegetarian options. Nice to have this option near the Chancellory versus having to walk across the campus to Bar Merlo or the Food Court.
Reviewing Darwins on the coffee alone. It might be the worse I have had in years, dark bitter sludge. They should have paid me to drink that. Gak
Very disappointing food and service for the prices. I’ve eaten here at least three times and never been happy with the flavour or quality of the food. It is bland, inconsistent and lacking. I ordered a burger and it came without sauce and my order was messed up twice. I wouldn’t have been so upset if the prices weren’t so high, especially considering it is a university cafe. Overall an extremely upsetting experience.
I have breakfasts here quite regularly, and i am yet to be disaapointed. The food is fresh and delicious, and seeing they are a university caf and cater to a much larger crowd, it’s amazing they can send out uniform,delicious cafe worthy food at all. The staff are very efficient and quite friendly considering the number of people they serve.It’s very reasonably priced, and a serine little spot. Definitely my favourite cafe on campus. Highly recommend. 🙂
The coffee is possibly the worst on campus and the barristas clearly don’t know what they’re doing when thier caps and flat whites look the same except for chocolate. The food is delicious but their unwillingness to swap out meat for something cheaper without surcharge is annoying, not to mention how long it takes to get the food made for takeaway. (Then the order ended up being wrong.)Basically terrible coffee, terrble service but the food is unfortunately delicious.
