We dined here on a busy Saturday night and had the Italian buffet dinner. Our waitress who seated us very kindly noted I was pregnant and told me what dishes to avoid which was greatly appreciated. All the staff were lovely and frequently cleared away plates, asking if we needed anything so top points for service. The food itself was ok. Nothing really stood out as amazing and nothing was terrible. I really liked the arancini balls. The desserts were probably better, and considering the amount they would have to be making for a buffet, good quality. Especially the panacotta and canolis. We both left incredibly full, that’s for sure! Overall it’s great value and decent food but nothing outstanding.
Visiting Stanthorpe for the night and decided to try out Anna’s. Could not have picked a better option. Buffet style Italian restaurant. Home cooked goodness. Plenty of variety to choose from and clearly freshly made. Stuffed mushrooms are a must. Next time we are in Stanthorpe we will be back to Anna’s
My type of restaurant right here. Food was nothing jaw dropping but buffet/italian/homely vibes is a recipe for success in my opinion. Highlights were the prawn cutlets, cheesey mushrooms, chicken/beef/pork all well done, arincini balls were nice. Mussels were nothing amazing. Great selection of desserts & healthy vege options. Ate far too much but that always happens with buffets. One of the best feeds I’ve ever had
I would have to say one of the worst restaurants I have been to. The service was nearly non exsistent once we placed orders entree came out quickly then went down hill from there well over an hour for mains to come out. Two people had steaks on our table of 9 which were well overcooked. I mentioned to the waitress that i ordered medium rare and received a well done steak. Waitress looked at the steak and said is it undercooked for your liking, obviously not having a clue about the meal. Not only was it over cooked it tasted like it was pre cooked and was tough. After mains we sat for a long period before a waitress started to clear a couple of plates from our table and then did not return. We ended up going up and paying bill with not being offered desert or table being cleared. I tried contacting the restaurant on 4 occasions to speak to the manager and left message with the staff member that answered the phone each time, i have not received a return phone call. I wont go back there again or recommend to anyone to try this place.
We joked about needing a reservation as we walked in (Stanthorpe isn’t exactly a buzzing city on a Tues night). Our amusement turned shock when we were told that they were at capacity. We hung around and eventually were lucky enough to get a table. We ordered the Gnocci and mushroom entree which the waiter offered as a main. The portions were very generous and the amazing bottle of Sauvignon Blanc by Symphony Hill paired perfectly.
