Best Pizza in Qld. My partner and I have been there numerous times and enjoyed each and every occasion. The roasts are sometimes a bit hit and miss but good value for money. Not sure what all the previous negative comments about the service is about, we have always been met with friendly, helpful staff both at the reception and restaurant / bar.We tried the pizza one night and I can say it was absolutely delicious (better than West End gourmet pizza restaurants).
The only thing wrong about Easts, is staff are blatantly rude and arrogant. Refusing entry, due to to the fact I was wearing ‘rubber’ thongs – even though I was unable to wear any other type of shoe due to the amount of swelling and dressings on my foot. Duty manager refused to allow a complaint to be made, blaming other entity’s for the policy and stating that I’d ‘only be allowed to wear them if my foot was broken.’
OK but could do better. I have been a semi regular at Easts for a few years and whilst the meals are OK they are not as good as they used to be (they WERE really excellent and really good value). Still OK for a reliable meal with a good and interesting selection but the standard of presentation and portion sizes have definitely not improved. Some of the bain-marie meals such as the roasts are still excellent value and even cheaper for members (join up as you enter for only $2 per year and you will save straight away). Drinks are the same. Ambiance pretty basic and the new decor is not to everyone’s taste but it is a footy/pokie club and not the Ritz so that shouldn’t surprise or excite anyone. There is also a comfortable cafe near reception with a selection of light meals and very nice cakes and desserts. The club has easy access with (finally) a new two storey car park and plenty of frequent buses from right outside.
Not happy ….. Ordered beef ribs from menu twice price of other items that could have been chosen but thought I would treat myself …. Tasted old like they has been pre cooked during week and partially re heated upon ordering and smothered in sauce to cover up rubbery cold meat, lumpy mash and a minute amount of corn salsa salad not what I expect when I pay good money for a meal the should be prepared fresh
This club offers a great variety of meals at a great price. There is ample seating and parking and they serve cheap beers. It’s a fun night out on a budget where you get to see rock and roll dancing or your favourite game on the big screen. We’ve been coming here for 15 years and enjoy the atmosphere.
Went there with a friend for lunch. Staff were rude. The meal was disgusting. I told her I wanted to check it out for myself to see what other people were saying about it was true. They should have a BIG wake up call in customer service. Be WARNED!!! Don’t go there unless you want to be treated disrespectfully. Wake Up Easts Leagues Club.!!!!
Well had the cheesy garlic bread at 8.90 would have been good had it not been on two tiny wedges :/ childrens spaghetti Bol a rip at 8.90 too but the kids chicken tenderloins and chips were a banquet so go figure. My Parma was dry and uninspiring…. Overall overpriced for what you get and the service although food was cooked fast we had a table of uncollected plates for ages. I would not go back except to watch the game with a beer, that they would do well
