Very clean shop and tasty food, a favourite local fish and chips store. Staff are friendly and didn’t have to wait too long for a Fishermans basket.

10/10 would go back again and we do on a regular basis!! Unfortunately, and I am hoping the owners read this and take as constructive criticism, The battered fish is the most disgusting thing I have ever had in my life and the way they blanch the potato scallops first means they become slightly burnt tasting once cooked. Being a MASSIVE potato scallop fan this is sad for me 🙁 . Anyways apart from that EVERYTHING else is AMAZING!! I cant recommend this place enough to everyone. When ever we have visitors we get dinner from here just to get people to enjoy the pleasure of their food. Chips are ALWAYS crunchy and the crumbed fish is always awesome. Definitely try it out. Definitely buy food from here. I am picky and keep going back so it must be good!!
Fancy Fish caters to a polished experience for a quick dinner of fish and chips. The chips are cooked to a lovely golden brown crunch state, the calamari was tasty and the burgers were well presented but the highlight was defiantly the fresh and delicious fish. I’ll be eager to return.
Tried this place after reading good reviews, in fact I drove a lot further than I normally would to get takeaway to go here. But I feel obliged to provide some balance to the rave reviews. Place is clean, nice, good quick service, etc. but we had two pieces of coral trout in our order that were bad – off! Smelled and tasted disgusting and were inedible. When I rang to tell them they handled it ok but it shouldn’t happen. Was offered a credit but I have no intention of going near the place again. Very annoyed I spent $15 on inedible fish that made us feel queasy and had to have chips only for dinner! Maybe it was one off but I won’t go back.
We’ve always have had great fish and chips from here. Haven’t had a bad experience yet. Of note is that it’s slightly pricey but I guess that’s the location.
